WINARD HARPER QUINTET@ 4305 THEATER

Friday night April 25 at the 4305 Theater at the corner of 43rd Street and Degnan, The World Stage is proud to present the internationally renowned Winard Harper Quintet. This group is one of the stellar exponents of the straight-ahead school with a "take no prisoners posture" while playing with a keen sense of the "world music" genre that has become a part of today's musical palette. The band closed the World Stage Jazz Festival to a rousing, standing ovation. Admission for this event will be $20.00 with a show policy. There will be two shows; 8:30 pm and 10:00.

JAZZ & ART SALON FEATURING JOHN HEARD @ 4305 THEATER, 2PM

On Sunday, April 27th at the 4305 Theater, The World Stage presents it first Jazz and Art Salon. This salon will feature the paintings and music of John Heard. John is an exciting artist who has been busy over the winter creating new works that will be publicly show for the first time at this salon. The program is from 2:00 pm to 5:00 in the afternoon. Admission is $20 and a light supper is included. John will be joined in the music by pianist Nate Morgan.
